A mixed bag
Compact and well designed my primary beef is it's weight. Empty its over 3 pounds. The rigid clam shell compartment is a decent idea but it's too large, it's hard to get into and it makes access to the other areas difficult. I bought early in September and it came just in time to fly with me to Paris where I wore it daily everywhere I went. By the end of the day my back was sore even though I wasn't carrying that much around (small laptop, camera, maps, extra battery packs). It's definitely in a different league than the oversize lightweight fabric backpacks but I don't think it's really worth $140. I should have returned it when I could.
Overall great backpack but a little small for school
Great city bag
I am impressed with the build quality of the bag, everything is well thought out and great fit everywhere on the bag.
It's great, perfect for the frequent flyer
Perfect Work bag
I have had the Urban 21 for almost two months now. I really like the slim profile and the return to two external bottle pockets (I was using the Boundry Prima System before). Although these do sem to be stretching out now and not retaining their original tauntness. The external pouch is perfect for keeping my laptop power supply and mouse as I am constanly moving between our 4 campus buildings and WHQ a mile up the road. With all this goodness I am very thankful my 17" laptop just barely fits. This back is definitely more suited for a 15" or below. The organizational pockets could use some tweaking. Liek the key leach should be in the hardcase pocket with the glasses pouch. Some more pockets/pouches on the inner sleeve would help too. All in all, I am satisfied with my Urban 21
